Great Grandma MacDougall with baby Cash

The three "kids" with mom. Happy Mothers Day! We love you.Cash and Mommy decided that we were bored at home sitting around in Iowa, so we decided there is no better time like the present to take a little vacation to Arizona. So we decided to go back home for a couple weeks and everyone was so excited. All the aunts were thrilled to meet their new nephew. Sandy decided that she was going to go in to work late just so she could go with mom and dad to pick Cash and I up from the airport. Cash did a great job on the airplane. He slept during takeoff and woke in the middle of the flight just to eat and then about 30 minutes before the plane landed he fell asleep again. I was so thankful that he did such a great job flying.
Sandy loved spending time with Cash, well as long as it didn't involve changing diapers. As a matter of fact there was one time she was changing his diaper, and he started peeing, (he is a boy) she just got up and didn't know what to do. Oh silly aunt Sandy, your suppose to cover his little wee wee so he doesn't pee all over mom and dads carpet! (Sorry about that by the way)
Grandpa liked to read with Cash.... now I'm not saying what type of reading it was, but i think you could consider it a picture book. Grandpa tried to find Cash some reading glasses to look at the pictures better but all the glasses were too big for a baby boy like cash, maybe in a couple more years.
Now this is an uncle who is so happy to meet his first nephew. Uncle Andrew came over to meet Cash as soon as he got off work. Of course I took a picture of them together and sent it to Aunt Sandy (who was still at work) she was so bummed Andrew was hanging out with Cash and she wasn't. I foresee many many nights hanging out with uncle Andrew at the pavilions, and playing video games during Cash's summer visits to Arizona.
Grandma was so happy to see her first grandson and spend time with him. She was so helpful and took Cash as much as possible. They talked to each other (about what, I don't know you'll have to ask them) I think that Cash is going to love his grandma so much, especially if she gives him pringles and jello for lunch like my grandma gave me for lunch.
Cash waking up from nap
Well I'm hoping that this video thing works. never done it before, so well see what happens. Cash is normally so happy when he wakes up from his nap. He loves looking at his mobile on his swing. And of course Chester has to come and make sure "His Cash" is alright. Chester has come such a long way since the day we brought Cash home. Cory and i are very proud of Chester with how well he does now with a baby in the house.
Kerry, Cash, and I drove to Pella, Iowa for the annual Tulip Time. Every year there are thousands of tulips planted all around the town of Pella. I have always wanted to go each year since I moved to Iowa but it always seemed like there was something else going on. So this year when Kerry came, we decided that we would go. It was the weekend before the actual Tulip Time festivities, but it turned out to be better that way because the town was already busy, and all the tulips were already up and in bloom. There were so many more then I could have imagined, and in every color possible. It was a beautiful day to be walking around the town. We had our first dutch letter, and to my surprise they were amazing!! They are pastries in the shape of a "S" and filled with an almond center. I do not really like Almond, but these were sooo good. I'm glad we bought extras.

Brian and Kerry came to visit us in Iowa and meet the newest grand kid, Cash. They spent five days here, and we enjoyed every minute with them.
Kerry was so helpful to me, she woke up every night and helped me feed Cash. And she was great during the days too because she was always willing to help with Cash. I know she enjoyed every minute with him, and I'm sure he was very happy to spend time with his Grammy.

When Brian wasn't working on the yard he spent his time with Cash. It was so wonderful he even watched Cash while Kerry and I went out and got pedicures! Some quality male bonding time.
Grammy and Grampy were sad to leave after their long weekend in Iowa. We had such a nice time, and I'm sure they will miss us and especially Cash as mush as we are going to miss them.
Cash loves his highchair, which is so nice because if Im in the kitchen cooking, he can be right there with me. Right now hes pretty content just sitting there watching me. Im sure that will not last forever.
